An old chain-type village on Zarecki Potok, which was described as Keselingswalde in 1301. In the village, there is a palace with columnar portico built in 1812-1815 and a Sacred Heart of Jesus church that was erected in the beginning of the 16th century and was thoroughly reconstructed in 1838. There is a penitential cross near the church. Slawnikowice is the birthplace of Ehren-fried Walther von Tschirnhaus (1651-1708), scholar and philosopher, a friend of the greatest people of his times (i.a. Espinosa and Leibniz). Tschirnhaus founded a "Museum" in Slawnikowice, a private scientific society, and contributed to solving the secretabout how porcelain was mode.
